The Serene Innovations wireless Audio Sensor is designed to monitor alarm sounds (smoke detector, intruder alarm, etc.).
Any loud alarm sound of 15 seconds or longer triggers the audio sensor which will then send a wireless signal to the CentralAlert Master Unit. It is a 'supervised' design where a 'Battery OK' signal is sent every hour to the CentralAlert Master Unit.
Mount the CentralAlert Audio Sensor next to your audio alarms for alarm sound detection. It is the only sensor that will respond to all alarm sounds, including those alarms with T3 or T4 type sounds. To prevent false alarms, it will not respond to alarm tones with more than one second pause between tones such as carbon monoxide detectors where the pauses are more than 4 seconds in duration.
It can also be hardwired to your audio alarms that come with connecting terminals for direct activation.
Up to 10 CentralAlert Audio Sensors can be used with one CentralAlert Master Unit or the portable CA-RX remote receiver.
Each Audio Sensor will indicate a different code on the CentralAlert Master Unit display so that you know which sensor has been triggered.
Battery powered (2 x AA batteries included) with low battery indicator.
